A Dose of Gratitude Brings A Life of Happiness
A New Practice to Participate In!
I’m setting aside Fridays to encourage a little more gratitude in your life. And just because I’m choosing Friday doesn’t mean you have to use Friday. You can use whatever day of the week that makes sense to you.
Gratitude has a way of shifting your brain from negative to positive, increasing your dopamine levels. It also helps you see the good amid a series of not-so-good events.
The point of this as a spiritual discipline is to bring a dose of gratitude into your heart, mind, and soul so that you have more joy and happiness.
O Spirit, draw us in, open our hearts, and show us the small things that we can be grateful for.
Exercise
Close your eyes and invite the Spirit to guide you as you draw inward.
Take a deep breath in and exhale.
As you think through the days of this week, was there something that comes to the forefront of your thoughts that you are grateful for?
Take a moment and relish in that gratitude. Write about it. What made it so wonderful?
