A few years ago I utilized a personal trainer to help me and one of the first things he did was to have me take a long weighted bar and rest it on the back of my neck and shoulders and then bring my arms up, wrapping them almost around the bar. I couldn't do it the first time! It was so painful. He told me it was because I was probably hunched over (at my computer). Now, both my husband and I use a weighted bar regularly to help us straighten up.
