A few years back, I had a cat that would jump onto my desk and lay on top of my keyboard while I was working. That cat has since passed, but those moments, as frustrating as they might have been, began to show me that sometimes interruptions are holy. And I phrased the term holy interruptions (although I wasn’t the first).

I could have gotten angry at the cat, but if you knew his back story, I just couldn’t. Besides, he was telling me (just like God does) that he wanted to be near me. How could I get angry at that?

My current pet is a chihuahua-rat terrier mix. She’s a whole lot of messy sweetness. She’s older, so she tends to be unkempt at times. Now I have a laptop, and I often sit…
