Spirit, help us to be friendly and kind, knowing that my opinions are merely that — my opinions. Too many of my opinions only close the door to being open to others. Help me, Spirit.

Have you ever witnessed a cultural ceremony different than your own? Have you ever visited a friend in a new country or city?

Once, I visited someone in a very different country. She wanted to take me to all the places she normally traveled to so that she could experience her city with new eyes. I was so taken aback by that. I learned so much from her posture during that experience.

It helped me refocus my heart when I hosted visitors in my city. Instead of taking them to see all the tourist attractions, if they didn’t know what they wanted to do, I took them to places I always went to.
