Spirit, may You always blanket me with the things I need, making sure to remove the things I don’t need.

Just like the Tuesday series, this will be a Saturday series on emotional needs.

Everyone has individual emotional needs (conditions necessary to have peace and thrive in life). These individual needs are based on your identity, genetic predisposition, and/or your upbringing. If your emotional needs aren’t taken care of, you can easily fall into the pit of bitterness, depression, anxiety, frustration, being hurt, and/or being unsatisfied. So, are your emotional needs taken care of?

This goes beyond having a glass of cold water on a hot day. According to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, the basics are physiological needs — shelter, water, food, rest, warmth, and good health.

The next layer after physiological needs is safety needs.
