In geography, the true north refers to the Earth’s North Pole, and this is important if you’re navigating your way, either by sea or otherwise. But in reference to your calling and discernment in general, to find your true north takes patience and bravery. So, be brave. Know where you’re meant to be by taking a closer look at who you are and how you were created.

In short, to find your true north is a combination of beliefs, purpose, and values. These elements will keep you focused in the right direction. This will be different for every person, so though it’s important to listen to your village for what they have observed of you, it’s still your decision.

Without knowing your true north, you will end up drifting at sea. One of the elements that can draw you off course is shame.

Beliefs + Purpose + Values = True North

Simple, right? Now, the question is how to figure this out.
