JULY 2022 — REFRESH THE SOUL
Call for Submissions: Write a Letter of Gratitude to Someone
And that someone could be you! 💖
3 min readJul 4, 2022
This does not have to be a long entry — unless you want it to be! If it’s 150 words or less, it’s ok. If it’s one word, it’s ok. If it’s 800 words, also ok.
The more you practice gratitude, the easier it will become and the happier you will be.
Is there someone in your life who has had a huge impact? Write a letter of gratitude to that someone.
Is there something that you have overcome in your life? Write a letter of gratitude to yourself!
SUGGESTIONS TO GET STARTED
- Take a moment of quiet to focus on that someone to whom you are grateful. Jot some notes about what they did, said, or mean(t) to you. Make a list of 3–5 things.
- Be specific with details. Write down what you’d like to say and be specific when you write about your gratitude. For instance, “[person’s name], I’m so grateful for the endless time you spent with me. Every time we sat and talked you always made me feel heard and seen. You laughed with me with your deep, belly laughs that always brightened my days.”
- Let them know how they made you feel. It’s ok to be…
