This will be a 10-part series on different examples of contemplative imagination or, as some refer to it, contemplative practices.

Contemplative imagination can sound a little woo-woo for some, but until I began sinking my mornings into meditation and imagination, I didn’t realize how close I could feel to God. The more I became present to myself, the more I sensed God’s presence. How far I let myself go is up to me. So, what about you? How far will you really let yourself go?

Imagination has the creative task of making symbols, joining things together in such a way that they throw new light on each other and on everything around them. The imagination is a discovering faculty, a faculty for seeing relationships, for seeing meanings that are special and
