There are times when you want to showcase your own work or someone else’s on Medium.
There are two ways to do that.
Creating a URL (Uniform Resource Locator) link (also known as a hyperlink)
- The best way to do that is to go to the story you want to hyperlink.
- Below you see the URL link that begins with “medium.com/p/…, which is found in what is referred to as the address bar. It is the area of your web browser that holds the URL.
- Highlight that with your cursor and copy. On a Mac (command ⌘ +C). On a PC (Ctrl+C).
- Now, head over to your story and highlight a word or words in your copy. When you highlight, a pop-up box will show up. Select the one that looks like a chain link.
- Then paste the URL link into what looks like a black area. On a Mac (Command ⌘ + V). On a PC (Ctrl + V).
- You will see your copy pop into that black box.
