Spirit, help me nurture my soul so that I may not be consumed by anxiety but instead turn to gratitude.

This is a spiritual practice I have been leaning into more and more.

Why?

Because sometimes life takes crazy turns and if you don’t notice the small pieces of light, you can get consumed by regret. But you don’t have to. Don’t let your regrets take too much hold.

Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.

— Melody Beattie

Recently, I have been reflecting on the troubles of my past. It’s easy for me to regret some things, but as I dig deeper, I realize that my natural instincts were protecting me.

So, when life hands you lemons, what do you do?

You squeeze the lemons and make lemonade with sugar to sweeten the blow of tanginess.
