When we allow ourselves to be open to all possibilities, we begin to understand that beauty is everywhere. So, how do you embrace the beauty of imperfection? Some things are just not that beautiful, or are they?

“Native American cultures have a deep respect for the acceptance of our human imperfection. When weaving a rug, they will purposely include a flaw. This serves as a reminder that, while all that is human made is imperfect, it yet can reflect the beauty, reverence, care, and love of true creation.” — Diane Berke

The same goes for the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi. It’s hard to live a full life when you can’t embrace things for what they are. In short, wabi-sabi is about admiring the crack in the teapot as beautiful. It’s also about admiring the wrinkles in your face as stunning.
