As someone who writes about spirituality in and owns two smaller publications, it would be great to see publications given more help. Publications are where writers find community and often that community becomes their writing home.

Helping new writers learn the nuances of Medium and wanting them to succeed as writers is a passion of mine, but like so many writers on this platform, the pay is small, especially when you’re not writing about Medium or writing.

Although Medium has become the starting place for many online writers, they often leave because their hope of having the intersection of $$ and writing leaves them discouraged. Why not find a balance to keep writers growing in their craft while earning good money so they stay?
