FRIDAY GRATITUDE
Gratitude Brings Joy and Joy Helps You See Freedom
It’s All About Perspective
O, Spirit, help us to be grateful that we may have joy.
Maybe you keep a gratitude journal. Maybe you whisper your thanks into the wind and allow those pieces to float up to Heaven. Either way, keep doing what you’re doing with your gratitude practice because gratitude invites joy and, with a joyful heart, you can see the freedom right before you.
And yet, at times it’s hard. I get it. Many of my friends have turned away from social media and news outlets because those tend to cloud your gratitude. Too much of the outside world can disrupt your soul.
I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder. — GK Chesterton
Gratitude has the ability to shift your focus and perspective from what you don’t have to being grateful for the things that you do, no matter how large or how small.
“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgiving, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.” —Proverb
