Spirit, encourage me to be more grateful. Show me the spaces in life that are offerings of grace.

Have you ever been around someone who complains all the time? Where does your mind go as they are yarning on for five minutes? Do you head to your happy place, hoping to escape the poverty of complaints?

Have you been around someone who is always grateful? That gratitude is rich, isn’t it?

I had a college roommate who ALWAYS saw the silver lining in everything. In the beginning, I wanted to punch her at times. I was mouthy back then. Ok, I’m still mouthy at times 🤪.

Do you know what happened? She became a very good friend because her spirit of gratitude began to change me. The more I hung around her, the more I saw the silver lining in things. And…the more I wanted to be around her.
