The idea that your heart is moist and tender generally indicates a sense of weakness, but spirituality will make your heart tender.

Native Americans describe spirituality as having a “moist heart,” perhaps because native wisdom knows the soil of the human heart is necessarily watered with tears, and that tears keep the ground soft. From such ground new life is born. — Maria Harris

It doesn’t really add up, but if you stop and think about it when you allow yourself to remain tender, vulnerable to the metaphorical sun, rain, and elements of the Creator, your roots will automatically grow deeper and more devoted. This is about heart work. This is about allowing yourself to remain vulnerable and moist so that you can be open to change.

Change is hard. Change is stepping outside of your comfort zone. I know.
