One of the things I know many are doing in this season is hosting or showing hospitality to others, whether it be opening your home for a day or longer.

When you host someone or a group of people in your home, often you don’t hold back in sharing your best, but what if hospitality is also about not holding back for fear of not having enough? Instead, what if hospitality is about creating a space for friendship, community, and becoming a way of life?

In other words, it’s about sharing your space and things, just the way you are. This is something my husband and I have been practicing more and more. We used to feel guilty that we didn’t have the right kind of bed or the perfect display of food, but now we have turned to a more radical hospitality of just opening the…
