You know that sense of accomplishment you get when you’ve finished writing and editing a post?

The angel on one shoulder says, “Well done! You’ve written something that everyone wants to read.” Meanwhile, the devil on the other shoulder says, “Who do you think you are? Do you really think you have something to contribute?”

Imagine that you have, in fact, written a viral post. You hit submit, the publication accepts it, and within minutes, not only is everyone reading it on Medium, but people from Twitter and other social media outlets are picking it up.

What made it so special? You highlighted one, maybe two, three, or even four other writers in your article. Not only did you make them feel seen, but all their friends and family also read your article and they sent it to all their friends, and you get the idea.
