How To Write for your Reader

Be Passionate, Be Kind, Be Uplifting

Writing is a gift. When you put words to a blank page, you are weaving a warm shawl to cover the reader’s shoulders. You are inviting them into your living room of words that resonate and move them. Don’t waste that gift. Use it for good. Be kind and uplifting with your words. Your reader wants to know they can do this too, and when you are kind to others, it has a ripple effect far beyond your reach.

Use fewer “I” statements. Write what you’re passionate about but don’t make it about you. Medium is a fantastic platform to explore different topic ideas. There is a debate about whether you “should” find your niche and stay in that lane, but what if you’re interested in several things? It’s ok. Don’t be afraid to be you.
