It’s Never Too Late to Start
Read that again, please
Spirit, give me the courage to know that I am never too old or too anything to start something if it is meant for me.
A few years ago I was contemplating starting a doctorate program. A Ph.D. would take, on average, 5–7 years or longer. A DMin (Doctorate of Ministry) would take 3 years. One of my hang-ups was the fact that I wanted to go for a Ph.D., but I’m not young and I kept saying to my husband, “but in 7 years I’ll be …!”
To which he replied, “but you will be that age anyway.”
Oh.
Sometimes he can be so matter of fact.
But, really, he was reminding me that it is never too late to start.
So, now I turn to you. What things are you not doing because you think you’re too something?
