Yes, it is referred to as mindful productivity. If you’re a list maker and pride yourself on checking things off that list, this might be for you. Trust me, as I’m writing to you, I’m recognizing I need to practice what I preach.

First, let’s get a better understanding of what mindful productivity is. This isn’t some get-things-done-quickly technique, although it might help some of you increase your productivity. Simply put, mindful productivity focuses on your well-being and how you were created, which is why these tools can help you work smarter not harder.

For those of you who have read my countless stories on being present, mindfulness, and meditation, it won’t come as a surprise that I would also write about mindful productivity. It seems that the two are quite opposite but keep reading so that I can prove you wrong.

Most people associate mindfulness as something that you do when at home, but not while you are working. Being mindful is about awareness of your surroundings, slowing your breath, going inward, and being quiet.
