Spirit, help me to understand the gift of listening as you teach me how to be a listening presence to others.

When it comes to relationships, what is your focus? Is it to have many people surrounding you or are you more focused on just a few people in your life?

Which is more important to you — quantity or quality?

With the variety of relationships you might have in your life, it can be difficult to manage and have all of the relationships be life-giving. It’s also not abnormal for you to have feelings of guilt over relationships. Remember that guilt is not something someone can make you feel. You do it all on your own. I’m certainly guilty of that.

As you think about the different relationships and roles you might have in life — friend, lover, spouse, daughter, son, mother, father, aunt, uncle, employee, employer, etc. — what seems more important to you with each of the relationships?

Is it quantity of time or quality of time?
