This week magically has an eighth day. How will you spend it?

I am so inspired by the writers of Refresh the Soul. If you haven’t poked around the publication and read the works of others, I encourage you to do so.

This is an interfaith publication because I believe that we can learn from each other. It is in the overlaps that we learn that we are not so different, and I learn so much from each of you, so I imagine that you can learn from each other as well.

We are stronger together.

And though this week’s writing prompt might have taken some of you by surprise (pun intended), I always love reading what you, as writers, creatively turn to when there is a writing prompt.

How can two blue lines possibly change your life? They can if it’s a COVID test or … maybe a pregnancy test. But for Judy Walker, it became a wake-up call and, as her subtitle states: an unwarranted surprise — something she could have done without.

“Surprisingly, I am dealing with it calmly. Perhaps the two Caesars and the bottle of red wine are soothing my panic.”
