I have been a paid member of Medium for a few years now. Before I started writing on Medium, I wanted to read and learn more before jumping in. Years ago, I took a StrengthsFinders assessment. I learned that one of my five strengths is Belief, which means I must believe in something before joining in. When I go in, I’m all in.

The first thing I did was start poking around Medium to learn more about writing on Medium.

Here are the people I followed (and still do). I signed up for their 5-Day Medium courses. Overkill? Maybe, but I’m a researcher. I wanted to compare the advice that top writers were giving.

Apparently, ConvertKit won’t allow the embed. There’s something else I just learned!

I also started following Tim Denning, Zulie Rane, Shannon Ashley and Megan Holstein. These are all people that are top writers on Medium. I wanted to see how they were doing things before I jumped in.

Zulie Rane is promoting her template right now. I bought it but haven’t tried it yet.

Megan Holstein wrote an article about how Medium SEO is different than SEO. She also has a free course on how to make your first $100.
