O Spirit, guide us into love in ways we never imagined. Show us how to love when we cannot and open our hearts to receive love when we think we are undone.

There’s power in love to help and heal when nothing else can. There’s power in love to lift up and liberate when nothing else will. There’s power in love to show us the way to live. — Bishop Michael B. Curry

Aside from the fact that love makes our hearts flutter, it is also a bit of a mystery. If you think about someone you love, can you define that love? It’s hard, right? Often you hear people respond to the question, “How do you know you love her/him/they?” with “I don’t know. I just do.” That’s the mystery!

But … love has the ability to heal someone physically and emotionally. When we lift someone up by loving them, it’s as if we are handing them to the angels so they can sing hallelujahs around and for them.

Love doesn’t cost anything and requires less energy than anger, so why not love more and hate less?
