If you don’t know, Easter Sunday is a big deal with Christians. It is the reason why Christians believe that Jesus exists and existed. The gospel story begins with Jesus’ birth, which is celebrated on Christmas, but his life ends tragically on Good Friday. Or does it?

During that time, Jesus lives a full life, teaching, preaching, modeling life for others, and speaking into the hearts of the disciples. During Jesus’ life, there are skeptics. They are known as the Pharisees. They taunt, mock, and ridicule Jesus’ existence.

Oh, they believe in God, but not this dude named Jesus.

So, when Jesus is put to death, the Pharisees think this whole ordeal is over. But it isn’t. And, to be honest, because they want to make sure that the disciples won’t commit to any funny business by stealing Jesus’ body from the tomb, it does make you wonder if they believe that Jesus is not the real deal.

Three days later, Jesus emerges from a sealed tomb. This is resurrection. He walks the streets and shows himself to the disciples — more proof that everything he was talking about while he spent time with them is Truth.
