Suddenly, I took a step back and realized that I had subconsciously created the concept of an anxiety “load” or “debt” where each time I was anxious, I was adding to that load, which was accumulating into an anxious weight on my shoulders and making me an anxious person. This led to the notion that I couldn’t afford to be anxious because I didn’t want to add to that load.
