O Spirit, hear my “yes.”

One of the smaller words in the vocabulary is “yes.” Say it with me — YES.

• yup — 1906 — appeared as a quotation in Century Magazine

I don’t need to tell you what this word means because I think everyone who learns to speak knows the words “yes” and “no.”

Is there a spirituality to yes? Heck yeah! Just as much as there is a spirituality to no. Our current FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) culture has us running around saying yes so often that we forget to stop and discern. So what if you’re missing out on something that others are doing? What about what you need now?
