“As long as you find something beautiful, good, and true to believe in and abide by, you have the equivalent of God in your life.” —Thich Nhat Hanh
Open my eyes, heart, and soul to what is remarkable.
Anyone who has been down a Los Angeles or Southern California street has probably seen a rolling vendor cart with someone hustling. This remarkable story is about Hijino Camacho, hombre del carro de vendador. In 2017, he would set up his cart at the UC Santa Barbara campus. One day, he got creative and put out a sign with his Venmo username for students to pay for their daily munchies of elotes (Mexican street corn) and raspados (snow cones). Soon after he hung the sign, a picture of him went viral and people around the world began sending him donations as an applause for hustling.
So, for those of you who end your stories with a Kofi or Buy Me a Coffee call-to-action link, keep doing your thing! I know I will.
