Yona, I'm so sorry for this journey you're on. A few years back, we walked this with my mother-in-law who was diagnosed Alzheimer's. although her frenzies of racism weren't quite as bad as you have described (I am biracial Asian, she being white). My mother is currently in dementia and exhibiting similar behavior as your husband. A friend recently explained that when in this place in life, all walls come down. There is no will to keep it together, if you will. My brother recently said, "Has she always been mean or is this just a phase?" To which I said, "I've always known her to be mean, at least to me." But now it's more public and she can be vile.

May you have the strength, patience and perseverance to stand the test of time.
